Why You Need Spirit Plain

The full Spirit miracle requires ending clean:

  1. Spectator writes on Spirit Pad
  2. Their writing appears on Spirit Echo
  3. You trace it with real chalk
  4. Wipe the electronic image
  5. Switch to Spirit Plain
  6. Hand out the real chalk drawing — 100% examinable

Without Spirit Plain, you can’t complete the miracle.

Common Uses

Switch After Reveal

Perfect for routines where you need to hand out the slate after the reveal:

  1. Perform routine with Spirit Echo or Spirit Pad
  2. Place gimmicked slate on table / in bag / behind something
  3. Pick up Spirit Plain (positioned beforehand)
  4. Hand to spectator for examination
  5. They see only a normal blackboard with real chalk

Clean Ending

End your routine with an ungimmicked prop:

  1. Complete your routine with Echo/Pad
  2. Natural switch to Spirit Plain
  3. Leave it with spectator as a souvenir or for inspection
  4. Walk away clean — no electronics to discover

One-Ahead Routines

Use Spirit Plain as your “normal” slate:

  1. Show Spirit Plain at the start (proves it’s just a blackboard)
  2. Switch to Spirit Echo/Pad during routine

Spirit Plain is designed to match Spirit Echo and Spirit Pad perfectly:

Performance match:

Basic Table Switch

  1. Perform with Spirit Echo/Pad

Bag/Case Switch

  1. Perform with gimmicked board
  2. Place in bag/case
  3. Retrieve Spirit Plain from same bag
  4. Hand to spectator

Behind-the-Back Switch

  1. Perform with Echo/Pad
  2. Turn around / step behind table
  3. Switch to Spirit Plain
  4. Turn back and hand out

Lap Switch

  1. Perform standing/seated with Echo/Pad
  2. Lower to lap naturally
  3. Switch to Spirit Plain (on lap or in pocket)
  4. Bring up and hand out

  • Without Plain, you’re stuck with an electronic board you can’t fully examine

If you buy Spirit Echo or Spirit Pad individually, you’ll likely need Spirit Plain later for clean endings.

Can I use normal chalk?
