SB Watch

Welcome to SB Watch โ€” a hybrid smartwatch that predicts the time. Control the hands wirelessly and create impossible moments of magic.

How SB Watch Works

SB Watch is a Bluetooth-enabled hybrid watch that works with the TimeSmith app and other Electricks devices.

With TimeSmith App

Connect SB Watch to your phone:

iPhone/Android Phone โ†’ TimeSmith App โ†’ SB Watch

The TimeSmith app lets you control the watch hands, set predictions, and manage all watch functions. The app is the primary way to use your SB Watch.

With Other Devices (No Phone)

Control the watch directly from dedicated remotes:

Atom 2 โ†’ SB Watch
Use your Atom 2 remote to set the time without a phone.

MrCard โ†’ SB Watch
Control predictions with MrCard.

SB Watch is also compatible with other apps and devices.

Quick Start

Get up and running in 5 minutes.

1. Check Battery

SB Watch uses a standard CR2032 button battery (included).

Battery life: Replace every 6 months for best performance.

โš ๏ธ IMPORTANT: Check battery first!

The most common connection issue is a low or dead battery. If your watch wonโ€™t connect or disconnects frequently, replace the battery before troubleshooting anything else.

The watch arrives with battery installed and firmware updated, but may need replacement if itโ€™s been sitting in storage.

2. Download and Connect

Download the TimeSmith app to control your watch.

Important checks before connecting:

  • โœ… Bluetooth is ON on your phone
  • โœ… Location Services enabled (required on Android)
  • โœ… GPS is ON (Android only โ€” needed for Bluetooth)
  • โœ… TimeSmith app has Bluetooth permission

Donโ€™t pair from phone settings โ€” the app handles connection automatically.

3. Connect in App

  1. Open TimeSmith app
  2. Go to Settings โ†’ List devices
  3. Tap the black button with your watch name (e.g., โ€œSBWatch-112345โ€)
  4. Watch hands will do a full rotation โ€” wait for it to complete

4. Calibrate (If Needed)

Your watch is pre-calibrated, but if the time doesnโ€™t match:

  1. Tap the green โ€Detailsโ€ฆโ€ button
  2. Scroll down and select โ€Calibration STARTโ€
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

Before You Perform

Make sure your SB Watch is:

  • Connected โ€” Either to TimeSmith app or standalone device
  • Calibrated โ€” Hands show correct time when not in prediction mode
  • Battery checked โ€” Replace if low (watch wonโ€™t connect or will disconnect with weak battery)

Pro tip: Practice the calibration process so you can fix it quickly if needed during setup.

Common Questions

The app doesnโ€™t see my SB Watch

โš ๏ธ Most likely: Dead battery!

If the watch wonโ€™t connect, replace the CR2032 battery first. This fixes 90% of connection issues.

Other things to check:

  1. Is Bluetooth enabled on your phone?
  2. Location Services enabled? (Required on Android)
  3. GPS ON? (Android only)
  4. Too many devices connected? Disconnect unused devices (phone limit: 10-16 devices)
  5. Try restarting your phone (especially on Android)
  6. Watch sleeping? Press the crown to wake (unlikely, but worth trying)

Turning ON and Initializing the SB Watch

Note: SB Watch doesnโ€™t have a power button. Itโ€™s always on as long as the battery has charge. Very old firmware versions had a turn-off feature, but modern watches are always running.

If your watch isnโ€™t responding, itโ€™s likely the battery is low or dead. Replace the CR2032 battery.

Please check these before setting up your watch:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is ON on your phone.

  • Phones have a limit on the number of devices they can connect to. If you have more than 6 devices (a band, earphones, etc.) connected to your phone, try disconnecting them if you cannot connect to the watch. Modern phones are usually can connect to 10-16 devices at a time.

  • Allow the app to use Bluetooth and/or Location Services.

  • On Android, make sure the GPS is ON. While we are not tracking you, this is somehow a must-have for Bluetooth communication, too.

  • On Android, Bluetooth has some bugs. You should try restarting the phone if you have any connection problems.

  • You donโ€™t have to connect to the watch from your Bluetooth Settings, the app will set up the connection.

For more troubleshooting tips, see our Troubleshooting page.

We are shipping the SB Watch products turned on, and updated to the latest firmware. The watch might be sleeping, wake it up with pressing the crown.

Open the TimeSmith app, then go to Settings and tap on the โ€œList devicesโ€ button. Now press the Black button with the watch name (something like SBWatch-112345, where the numbers are your watch identifier, starting with 1), and the app will connect to the watch. Watch hands will go a full circle, wait for it. We have calibrated your watch, but if the watch does not correctly show the time, then Tap the green โ€œDetailsโ€ฆโ€ button, scroll down the screen, and select โ€œCalibration STARTโ€.
