PeekSmith 3 / SuperPeek
Welcome to PeekSmith. This tiny device will help you create amazing moments of magic.
How PeekSmith 3 Works
PeekSmith 3 is a Bluetooth device that works in three ways:
With Apps
Connect PeekSmith to your phone and apps:
iPhone/Android Phone โ PeekSmith App โ PeekSmith 3
The PeekSmith app and other magic apps can send information to your device. Apps control what appears on screen โ text, cards, dice values, drawings, and more.
With Web Polling
Connect to online apps and services without direct Bluetooth:
Compatible App โ Internet (Cloud) API โ PeekSmith App Web Polling โ PeekSmith 3
The PeekSmith app polls a cloud API where other apps publish information. This lets you receive data from web apps and other online sources. Perfect for performances where the information source is far away or on someone elseโs device.
For details, see Web Polling documentation.
Standalone Mode (No Phone)
Some performers prefer dedicated devices that do one thing perfectly. We created Standalone Mode to offer the same focused behavior โ PeekSmith connects directly to other devices without needing a phone:
Atom 2 โ PeekSmith 3
Use your Atom 2 remote to control what appears on PeekSmith. No phone needed.
Quantum Calculator โ PeekSmith 3
Display calculator results on PeekSmith. See Quantum documentation for details.
PeekSmith 3 โ Other Devices
Connect directly to:
- Smart dice โ Display dice values with color and movement indication.
- Card readers (Insight/Insight Pro) โ Show scanned cards visually.
- Impression pads โ View drawings and handwriting.
- SB Watch โ Control time predictions.
For details, see Standalone Mode.
Quick Start
Get up and running in 5 minutes.
1. Charge Your Device
Before first use: Charge your PeekSmith for at least one hour before turning it on for the first time.
Connect the included charging cable to your PeekSmith and plug it into any USB port.
Charging time: 1-2 hours for full charge.
How to tell itโs charging: USB-C models show charging info on screen. Micro-USB models need to be turned on to check.
2. Turn It On
Press and hold the side button until you feel a vibration. Youโll see the home screen showing firmware version, brightness, and battery level.
โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT: Remove the protective film!
Your screen has a nearly invisible protective film thatโs very easy to miss. Many people think their screen is scratched when itโs actually just the film.
How to find it: Look carefully at the screen edges โ youโll see a thin layer you can peel off. The โscratchesโ you see will disappear once you remove it.
Video guide: See how to turn on PeekSmith and whatโs on the home screen.

Battery Care
Your PeekSmith has a rechargeable battery that lasts for years when cared for properly.
Do this:
- โ Charge every 2-3 months, even if not using.
- โ Use any USB charger (even 100W laptop chargers are safe).
- โ Leave on charger overnight โ it wonโt damage the battery.
Avoid this:
- โ Letting battery drain completely (damages LiPo batteries).
- โ Using โsmartโ phone chargers designed for fast charging โ some donโt detect PeekSmithโs low power draw.
Not charging? Try a different cable or charger. Simple USB chargers work best.

The app doesnโt see my PeekSmith
