How Spirit Echo Works

Spirit Echo uses electronic display technology (e-ink) hidden behind a real chalk surface. When you send information from your phone, device, or Spirit Pad, it appears on the blackboard instantly.

The power comes from combining Echo with Spirit Pad:

Spectator writes on Spirit Pad โ†’ their drawing appears in real time on Spirit Echo โ†’ you trace it with real chalk โ†’ wipe the electronic image โ†’ hand out the real chalk drawing.

Can I display previous drawings?
Not yet, but scrolling through past impressions is planned for future updates.

Can I thumb-write directly on Echo?
No. Echo has no touchscreen. Use Spirit Pad, Atom 2, Quantum, Bond, or PeekSmith app for input.

Can I hand out the final drawing?
Yes. Trace the electronic image with real chalk. The final result is 100% real chalk on a real slate โ€” completely examinable.

Does Echo work without a phone?
Yes. Spirit Pad โ†’ Echo direct connection works without a phone. Phone extends range.

Can I use different handwriting styles?
Yes. TrueWrite supports multiple handwriting packs. Custom handwriting uploads coming later.

What happens if connection is lost?
Echo will display the entire drawing once reconnected.
