Updating the PeekSmith App
Once installed, the PeekSmith app offers in-app updates. On the home screen, a small yellow bubble appears, tapping on it will allow you to do the update and will restart the app.
We donโt recommend updating the app before a performance to avoid accidental bugs. Even we do everything to test the new features and fixes, new bugs can emerge, or a change can affect your performance. Only update if thereโs a critical bug we have fixed.
How to Update
The PeekSmith app will notify you when an update is available:
- Look for a small yellow bubble notification on the appโs home screen
- Tap on the notification to start the update process
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update
- The app will offer to exit after the update is installed, and youโll need to start it manually
Best Practices
- Avoid updating before performances: We recommend not updating the app right before a performance unless thereโs a critical bug fix
- Test updates in advance: If possible, test new updates during practice sessions before using them in actual performances
- Keep app current: Regular updates ensure you have the latest features, security patches, and bug fixes
- Stable internet connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection when updating the app
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during the update process:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Restart the app and try the update again
- If problems persist, uninstall and reinstall the app from the App Store (for iOS) or by downloading the APK file directly (for Android)
