SB Watch Direct Connection

Connect PeekSmith 3 directly to SB Watch without a phone for standalone time prediction effects.

Features

When PeekSmith 3 and SB Watch connect directly (no phone or other device):

Time control:

• Button press sets current time.
• Button press sets forced time.
• Button press sets any time (firmware v1.7.12+).

Display:

• PeekSmith displays watch time on screen.
• PeekSmith vibrates when watch hands arrive.

Crown control:

• Crown press clears or toggles PeekSmith screen.
• Crown press sends signal and PeekSmith vibrates until crown released.

Setup

Requirements

• PeekSmith 3 firmware v1.7.7 or later
• SB Watch latest firmware

Pairing Process

1. Get your watch identifier

Check your SB Watch identifier in the TimeSmith app. Your watch name should be something like SBWatch-123456. Note the 6-digit number.

2. Pair the devices

1. Open PeekSmith app and send: *pw*123456 (replace with your watch number).
2. PeekSmith displays: “Watch Paired SBWatch123456”

3. Configure forced time (optional)

Send *ft*07:14 to set a different forced time (both hours and minutes must be 2 digits).

4. Critical Disconnection Step

1. Disconnect PeekSmith app completely - Close the app and ensure PeekSmith 3 is not connected to any mobile applications.
2. Verify watch disconnection - Make sure SB Watch is not paired with or connected to any smartphone apps or remotes.
3. Press both front buttons to enter PeekSmith menu.
4. Navigate to button press settings with left button.
5. Assign actions with right button:
   • SBW Force — Set forced time
   • SBW Current — Set current time
   • SBW Quick — 3-step time setting process

5. Configure crown press

In settings, assign “SB Watch Crown Press” action:

• Vibrate — PeekSmith vibrates until crown released
• Clear Screen — Clear display
• Toggle Screen — Turn screen on/off
• Set Time — Set time on watch

6. Configure time display

Enable “SB Watch Show Time” to display watch time on PeekSmith screen.

7. Exit and connect

Exit menu with side button. Long press front right button to connect. You’ll see connection confirmation and watch time (if enabled).

SBW Quick Feature

The SBW Quick button initiates a 3-step time setting process:

Step 1 - Hours:

• Watch displays 12:00
• Left button: -1 hour
• Right button: +1 hour
• Side button: Next step

Step 2 - Minutes (5-minute increments):

• Left button: -5 minutes
• Right button: +5 minutes
• Side button: Next step

Step 3 - Minutes (1-minute increments):

• Left button: -1 minute
• Right button: +1 minute
• Side button: Exit

Auto-exit: Routine exits automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity.

Performance

Button presses set time instantly. PeekSmith vibrates when watch hands reach position, confirming the effect for you.

This integration enables many time prediction effects without using your phone.

Connection Requirements

Before attempting to connect SB Watch:

• Firmware: Ensure PeekSmith 3 has the latest firmware (v1.7.7 or later)
• App Disconnected: Close the PeekSmith app and ensure PeekSmith 3 is not connected to any mobile applications
• SB Watch Disconnected: Make sure SB Watch is not connected to any apps or remotes
• Watch Identification: Note your SB Watch identifier (SBWatch-123456 format)
• Distance: Keep PeekSmith 3 and SB Watch within close proximity (1-2 meters)

Troubleshooting

SB Watch won’t connect:

• Verify PeekSmith 3 is disconnected from mobile app
• Ensure SB Watch isn’t connected to any other apps or devices
• Check that PeekSmith 3 firmware is v1.7.7 or later
• Verify correct watch identifier format in the pairing command
• Try reconnecting by long pressing front right button

Time display not working:

• Check connection status between devices
• Verify “SB Watch Show Time” setting is enabled
• Ensure watch hands are moving and visible to the system
