How It Works

Starting with firmware v1.7.7, PeekSmith 3 supports direct Bluetooth connection with Rainman 2. The scale measures weight and calculates the count based on individual item weight. PeekSmith 3 displays this count in real-time.

You always know exactly how many cards or other items are on Rainman 2.

Connecting to Rainman 2

1. Disconnect all mobile apps - Ensure PeekSmith 3 is not connected to or paired with any smartphone applications.
2. Make sure Rainman 2 isn’t connected to any app.
3. Press and hold the right button on PeekSmith 3 for 3 seconds.
4. PeekSmith 3 scans for available Bluetooth devices.
5. Once connected, the object count displays on screen.

Connection Requirements

Before attempting to connect Rainman 2:

• Firmware: Ensure PeekSmith 3 has the latest firmware (v1.7.7 or later)
• App Disconnected: Close the PeekSmith app and ensure PeekSmith 3 is not connected to any mobile applications
• Rainman Disconnected: Make sure Rainman 2 isn’t connected to any app
• Distance: Keep PeekSmith 3 and Rainman 2 within close proximity (1-2 meters)

Troubleshooting

Rainman 2 won’t connect:

• Verify PeekSmith 3 is disconnected from mobile app
• Ensure Rainman 2 isn’t connected to any other apps or devices
• Check that PeekSmith 3 firmware is v1.7.7 or later
• Try reconnecting by pressing and holding the right button on PeekSmith 3

Count not displaying:

• Verify the connection is active
• Check that objects are properly placed on Rainman 2 scale
• Ensure the scale is calibrated correctly
• Try reconnecting to Rainman 2
